Is Garden Gate Estates age exclusive?
Yes. Our apartments are built and designed specifically for the active retired person. Residents must be over 55 years of age.
Will it cost me a lot to live here?
No. Garden Gate Estates is an excellent value. Monthly fees include many services and amenities such as continental breakfast, home-cooked lunch and dinner, snacks, security and emergency call necklace, cable television with 70 channels, weekly housekeeping, trash removal, use of laundry facilities, use of fitness equipment, and more. Do I have to pay a large "entrance fee"?
No. Garden Gate Estates is easy to afford, and easy to move in to. You don't pay any large initial cash investment or "buy-in." Your savings remain available to you, as they should be. We do require a deposit equal to one month's rent prior to your move-in, which is a standard arrangement for apartment agreements.
Do you require a long-term lease commitment?
No. We do not require you to commit to a long term arrangement. If you choose to leave or circumstances change and require you to move, we only ask for one calendar month's notice.
Do I have to follow a schedule or participate in particular activities?
No. You are free to come and go as you please, and participate in any scheduled activities that you like. Other than meals, which are served on a set schedule, your schedule is up to you.
Is there parking for my car?
Yes. There is plenty of parking at the front of the apartments for your self and visitors.
If I need skilled nursing services such as physical therapy, do I need to move to a nursing home?
Personal home health care services such as assistance with bathing, medication management and other additional care needs can be provided through home health care agencies. We will work with any health care company you desire and can possibly recommend one to match your needs.
How do visitors enter the building and my apartment?
Visitors can enter through the main front doors and then walk to your apartment door off the main hallway, or enter through private entrances to apartments facing the front side of the property. All entrances are locked from the inside to prevent unauthorized entry, and staff monitor those entering and leaving.
Am I able to bring my furniture and decorate my apartment?
Yes. Apartments are unfurnished so you will provide furniture and décor. Favorite furnishings and decorations quickly make the apartment feel like home. You can decorate in colors and styles of your own choice.
